Introduction

ANRA is a mobile application developed on behalf of Faunabeheereenheid Utrecht (FBE Utrecht), the provincial wildlife management authority for the province of Utrecht, the Netherlands. This privacy policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

FBE Utrecht is committed to protecting your privacy. The app has been designed with a privacy-first approach: it works fully anonymously and does not require an account or any form of registration.

Data we collect

ANRA collects only the data you actively enter when registering a wildlife deterrent action:

• GPS location of the action (with your permission)
• Date and time of the action
• Selected animal species and estimated numbers
• Type of deterrent method used
• Optional notes and photographs

A random, device-generated identifier is used to associate your entries with your device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any other personal information.

Data we do not collect

ANRA does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Contacts, calendar data, or other on-device data
• Browsing history or usage analytics
• Advertising identifiers

How your data is used

The data you submit is used exclusively by FBE Utrecht for wildlife management purposes in accordance with the provincial wildlife management plan (faunabeheerplan). Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on a secured server within the European Union. Access to the data is restricted to authorized personnel of FBE Utrecht. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/SSL).

The app stores data locally on your device so it can function without an internet connection. This data is automatically synchronized with the server when connectivity is restored.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete all data associated with your device at any time from within the app. When you request deletion, all your data is permanently removed from the server.

Cookies

The ANRA app does not use cookies. The ANRA website (anra-utrecht.nl) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Children's privacy

ANRA is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

FBE Utrecht may update this privacy policy from time to time. We encourage you to review this page periodically. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
